I am always looking for short heels because I'm already 5'9" and I don't want to tower over people when I'm at work or going somewhere professional. I read the reviews on these shoes and everyone was complaining that they hurt their feet so I almost didn't buy them. I normally wear size 9 and I ordered the size 9. When they arrived I could see what everyone meant about the hard wood portion in the front that would possibly dig into your foot. What I can say is if you have a wide foot then probably this isn't for you. My foot fits perfectly and so far it doesn't feel tight or anything. For me it worked well and I got lucky but I know buying things online is hit or miss sometimes and it would be a hassle having to return it. For me I am very happy with the shoes!
