I wear a size 9 shoe. A medium works just fine. How do I know I wear a 9? I have a $400 orthotic for a pair of Asic walking shoes, that's how. I'm really annoyed with these. Bought a nine (toe hit the front of the boot), exchanged for a 10 (toe hit the front of the boot). I also bought the"Piece of Cake" in a 10...same boot but floral and exactly the same problem and no I did not wear a thick sock to try these on.....So, I just bought a SIZE 11 and that's just plain nuts. I'm pretty sure I'm getting the Chinese version of a size 9. I can hardly wait until these kinds of items are made in the USA again so there's no more of this. I'm also annoyed that I've had to send 3 pairs of these things back. They will not fit in a UPS drop box, so that's a thirty mile round trip for me to take them to a UPS facility....UGH!Definitely cute! I got 2 compliments from strangers for the literal 3 minutes I attempted to wear them before going back inside to take them off. The fit was probably right on for an 8, however I usually wear an 8.5 (often an 8 in sandals) and was hoping these would run a bit large. No such luck! I should have gone for a 9. My other two concerns are 1) The fabric part of the boot is NOT what the material appears it would be. I suppose I should have known because, duh, these are rain boots and that fabric would get soaked, but when you're near the boots, that portion of the boot looks super cheap. From a distance it looks great. 2) The backside portion of the boot where it's against your heel and then suddenly turns to soft fabric digs into the back of your heel every time you take a step, making them extremely uncomfortable. I wouldn't be able to get used to that. Blisters and pain galore. Planning to return!THESE ARE NOT TRUE TO SIZE AS I AM FINDING WITH ALL THE DIRTY LAUNDRY BOOTS. I WEAR A SIZE 9. I HAVE A $400 ORTHOTIC FOR MY ASIC WALKING SHOES THAT'S HOW I KNOW. I BOUGHT A TEN IN THESE AND THEY'RE MORE LIKE AN 8 1/2. I SENT THEM BACK AND HAVE BOUGHT ANOTHER PAIR OF DIRTY LAUNDRY IN AN 11...THAT'S INSANE, BUT THERE'S NO WAY TO WEAR A 9 OR A 10 IN ANY OF THEIR BOOTS SO FAR AND NO I DID NOT WEAR THICK SOCKS TO TRY THESE ON. SO ANNOYED THAT I HAVE HAD TO SEND 3 PAIRS OF THESE THINGS BACK. THEY WILL NOT FIT IN A UPS DROP BOX, SO IT'S A 30 MILE TRIP FOR ME TO THE UPS STORE.Thankfully, I had read enough reviews of Dirty Laundry boots to know that they run pretty small. I'm usually an 8, and I ordered these in a 9, and they fit. I only wore them for a short time, and while I found them acceptably comfortable, I can see what the other reviewer meant about the area just above the heel potentially digging in. They're definitely a little weird-looking, but they are warm and cozy. I will probably save them for cold, wet weather and expect to bring a change of shoes for wherever I'm going.I love this flower print for fall! They stay up nicely. The lower part of the lining, at the feet, is very soft but the top, opposite the flowers, could be a bit more luxurious but it's not bad. NOTE: These beauties run small. Definitely size up if you're a half-size. I'm okay in the 7 but as a real 7.5 I wish the 8 was still in stock. I've walked all over in them with comfort so obviously not a big deal. These have a weird watermark stain on them. I received two pairs and both of them have this. Even though they came 5 days apart. You can see in the photo that those are two right shoes. I will probably grab some black shoe dye to see if I can get them to be wearable. I thought these were super cute, but.... oh well.I read the previous reviews and ordered a size 10 for my size 9 feet they fit nice. The only problem is the top of the rubber part of the boot rubs against the ankles. I only wore regular socks. My ankle is cut up from a 30 minute walk with my dog. Maybe only thick socks with these. This boot is somewhat tight fitting. I also have Dirty Laundry's Pinnacle rain boot. Because they look similar I figured they would fit the same but no. Pinnacle runs bigger. I just wear thicker socks with Pinnacle boots and thinner ones with these. Nevertheless I love the comfort and feel of both!
