This boot is comfortable and true to size. I'm a 10 1/2 and had to get an 11, so it is ever so slightly big and therefore very slightly rubs the back of my heel but not making half sizes for large women's feet is a typical problem. I think if I get thicker socks that will make the fit perfect.They work well on snow and keep my feet warm and dry. They seem to grip well even on somewhat slippery conditions. They stay up on my calf (I am 5'10" and 175 pounds with average sized legs for my height and weight). The temps here have been in the 20s and 30s. Dipped into the teens and my feet stayed warm for the hour or so I was out.Because there is no zipper, they are a tiny bit difficult to pull off, so if you're elderly or disabled that could be an issue. You also must struggle a wee bit to get them on, but to me I prefer that over the boot being too loose.It is a bit puffy - being a "puffy" boot - so wearing cuffed sweat pants is problematic. They're tight enough that it's not easy to tuck the pants in, but puffy enough so I don't want to stretch the pant cuff around the outside. They go fine with jeans; my LLBean jeans legs go over them well enough. For me they work best with a base layer and skirt. This doesn't look terribly fashionable, but I didn't get them for fashion. I got them to tramp around the snow, and these are perfect for that. I have worn them alot already. I recommend them and I'd get them again.
